The Inter-College Folk & Tribal Instrumental Music Competition, jointly organized by the Culture Council, University of Delhi, and Miranda House College, was successfully held on October 04, 2023, at Miranda House, University of Delhi. The competition celebrated India’s rich folk traditions, with 11 participating teams from various colleges presenting an array of regional instrumental music performances rooted in cultural heritage.

Closing Ceremony
The event concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony attended by dignitaries, including the Principal of Miranda House, Prof. Bijayalaxmi Nanda, who commended the students for upholding India’s folk legacy. The guests shared insights on music as a spiritual, educational, and cultural practice.
Competition Highlights:
Judging criteria included desire, song selection, initiative, passion, perseverance, and authenticity of representation. Participants dazzled the audience with colorful folk costumes and stirring performances, culminating in a packed auditorium and widespread appreciation.

Students from across various DU colleges and other institutions showcased their talent in the art of mime.
