The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) is a body mandated by the Ministry of Education that organizes Inter-University Youth Festivals (UNIFESTS) in collaboration with selected member universities. The UNIFESTS include 8 Zonal and one National Level Youth Festivals. They comprise 5 main events: Music, Dance, Literary Events, Theatre, and Fine Arts. Each of these main events has 9 (in Music), 2 (in Dance), 3 (in Literary Events), 4 (in Theatre), and 9 (in Fine Arts) categories respectively, making it a total of 27 competition categories.
