Musical Evening Tribute to Legendary Indian Singers

On 24th March 2024, the Culture Council organized a memorable Musical Evening at the Vice-Regal Lodge to pay tribute to three iconic female singers of Indian cinema: Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, and Geeta Dutt. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries and university officials, making it a grand celebration of Indian musical heritage.

• Chief Guest: Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh presided over the event, underscoring its significance in honoring cultural icons.

• Tribute by Prof. Charu Kapoor: On behalf of the Culture Council, Prof. Charu Kapoor eloquently paid tribute to the legendary singers. She narrated their life journeys and highlighted their immense contributions to Indian cinema through their distinct singing styles.
