RBI: Digital Payment Awareness Week Quiz
The Reserve Bank of India, DPSS, Central Office, observed the Fifth Digital Payment Awareness Week (DPAW) from March 10-16, 2025. To mark this occasion, as a part of various activities under DPAW 2025, Department of Payment & Settlement Systems (DPSS), New Delhi Regional Office of RBI, is conducting an online quiz for the college students. For the smooth conduct of the quiz, students have to first register for the quiz. Registered entries will subsequently receive the link for the online quiz and other instructions.
First Prize: ₹ 10,000
Second Prizes – ₹ 5,000 each

RBI: Digital Payment Awareness Week Quiz
Reserve Bank of India (RBI) organized the ‘Digital Payment Awareness Week’ (DPAW) from 4-10 March, 2024 under the mission Har Payment Digital, with theme Digital Payment Surakshit Payment. The Culture Council, University of Delhi, in collaboration with Department of Payment and Settlement Systems (DPSS), RBI, organized an online quiz competition on ‘Digital Payment Awareness’ on March 5, 2024 for students of University of Delhi. The link for quiz registration (active from February 27, 2024, to March 1, 2024 (12:00 Noon) was shared with various colleges of the University. Approximately 700 students from various colleges of the university registered for the online quiz.
The quiz was conducted on March 5, 2024 in online mode from 3.40 p.m to 4.00 p.m via a link provided by the RBI. Participants had to attempt 40 multiple choice questions in 20 minutes (with no negative marking). The broad outline of questions was based on Digital Payment Ecosystem, Regulations related to Digital Payment Ecosystem, The Regulators of Payment and Settlement System. Approximately 250 students were successfully able to attempt the quiz.
The closing/valedictory ceremony was held on March 8, 2024 at Reserve Bank of India, New Delhi. Dr S.P. Sharma, Chief Economist and Deputy Secretary General of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry was the guest speaker in the event.
Sh. Anoop Lather, Chairperson, Steering Committee, Prof. Ravinder Kumar, Dean, Dr. Hemant Verma, Joint Dean and Dr. Rigzin Kang, Member, Functional Committee, Culture Council, University of Delhi attended the event. Addressing the gathering, Sh. Anoop Lather reiterated the important role of RBI in the digital empowerment of the general Indian public while Prof Ravinder highlighted the role of RBI in strengthening fiscal relationship between banking systems and common man and reassured the commitment of the Council to collaborate with the RBI on other programs.

18 top performing students were chosen and a prize distribution ceremony was held for them at RBI Auditorium. The top three winners of the online quiz were Harpreet Singh, Laghima Singh and Sampada Pandey and were awarded with the gift coupons worth ₹7000, ₹5000 and ₹3000 respectively. In addition, a total of 15 consolation prizes worth ₹2000, ₹1500 and ₹1000 respectively, were awarded to each of the next 05 ranked students. All students were also felicitated with certificates.

- Complaint within 3 days ensures a full refund.
- Complaints within 4-7 days may result in partial loss depending on account type.
Additional Information:
- RBI directives ensure user data is stored on Indian servers for better data protection.
- A new system will prevent online merchants from saving credit card or banking information.
Outcome:
- The program was attended by 400+ participants, including students, faculty, and staff.
- It concluded with an engaging Q&A session and was deemed a success.
